Hartung in Antibes

German-born abstract artist Hans Hartung designed this stark white-washed villa, the atelier and its annexes amid an olive grove. The artist, known for abstract works that combines spontaneous black drawings (often sketched by olive branches from his grove) and zones of dazzling colors, lived here from 1973 until his death in 1989 with his wife, Norwegian painter Anne-Eva Bergman.

Good web site! I truly love how it is easy on my eyes and the data are well written. I’m wondering how I could be notified whenever a new post has been made. I have subscribed to your RSS which must do the trick! Have a great day!

  3. When I initially left a comment I seem to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment. Perhaps there is a way you are able to remove me from that service? Cheers!
