MenopauseMenopause once in a while called "change of life" , "last period". You asking me what is menopause and why it occur in a woman's life ? Why it is called "change of life" ? When it usually happens ? I'll answer you to this question in this article and you'll understand everything when you read it all carefully . So , menopause is a moment in woman's life whan her period stops. "Change of life " as a rule happens after age of 45 and I can say you that the average age is 52. Menopause occurs because ovary stops generating the biological active substances that are called hormones , notably estrogen and progesterone. One can say with certainty that woman has a menopause when she has not a menstruations for one year . Let's have a look what is the symptoms of menopause .

Physical signs and symptoms may contain :

  • Unusual skin sensations
  • Sweats (frequently at hours of darkness)
  • Joint and bone ache
  • Headaches
  • Tiredness
  • Palpitations
  • Hot flushes (occurring in approximately 60% of women)

Psychological signs and symptoms may contain :

  • Depression
  • Reduced interest in sex
  • Hardship sleeping
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Loss of confidence
  • Absent-mindedness
  • Irritability and mood swings
  • Disquiet

 

Remember that all of this symptoms can start much years earlier ( for example in 38 or 40 years - Yes , it is possible ) .You must know that the tenseness and rate of menopausal symptoms vary from woman to woman. Diagnosis of menopause include of caurse symptoms, anamnesis and the most specific test for this "physiological disorder" - blood test . What we can see in the blood test ? We can see that the levels of hormones , such as follicle stimulating hormone - FSH and luteinizing hormone - LH ( they are produced by the pituitary gland ) higher if menopause is occurred.

Treatment methods include : hormone replacement therapy (HRT) , alternative therapies. HRT means replacing hormones previously generated by woman's organism . HRT is aim to increase amount of the female hormone estrogen . HRT is possible as tablets, skin patches, gels, nasal spray, or implants which are place under the skin and as vaginal preparations such as creams and pessaries. All give a set dose of estrogen against the bloodstream.

Alternative therapies contain : natural hormones herbal preparations vitamins minerals homeopathic remedies It involve for sample evening primrose oil, vitamins sucn as B, C and E, A, camomile , ginseng, garlic, soy based phyto - estrogens, acupuncture, massage and reflexology have proved successful for some women.
